YouthBuild Program Funding
The U.S. Department of Labor announces a $98 million funding initiative through the YouthBuild Program to unlock opportunities for disadvantaged youth aged 16 to 24. Targeting high-demand sectors like construction, healthcare, IT, and hospitality, the grants aim to provide educational guidance, skills training, and employment services, addressing barriers in underserved communities. Aligned with the Biden-Harris administration’s job-focused agenda, the program supports the Youth Employment Works strategy, ensuring accessible employment for youth. Administered under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, the initiative will fund about 75 projects, fostering impactful initiatives across various states.
